Influence of Alumina Nanofibers Sintered by the Spark Plasma Method on Nickel Mechanical Properties

The article presents the study of alumina nanoparticles’ (nanofibers) concentration effect on strength properties pure nickel. samples were obtained by spark plasma sintering previously mechanically activated metal powders. dependence grain size and relative density compacts number nanofibers was investigated. It found that with an increase in nanofibers, average matrix particles decreased. effects nanoparticle (0.01–0.1 wt.%) elastic modulus tensile determined for materials at 25 °C, 400 750 °C. shown a 10–40% ultimate occurred. A comparison mechanical nickel wide range temperatures, this work made various technologies, is carried out. description nanofibers’ mechanisms influence structure given. possible impact impurity phases estimated. tendency changes nickel, depending shown.
